What is Cellulite and can I get rid of it?

Cellulite is also, according to Wikipedia.org known as:

adiposis edematosa and orange peel syndrome) is the herniation of subcutaneous fat within fibrous connective tissue that manifests topographically as skin dimpling and nodularity, often on the pelvic region (specifically the buttocks), lower limbs, and abdomen. Cellulite occurs in most post pubescent females. A review gives a prevalence of 85%-98% of women, indicating that it is physiologic rather than pathologic. It can result from a complex combination of factors ranging from hormones to heredity.

What Causes Cellulite?

Here’s what WebMD has to say about the subject:

Having cellulite doesn't mean you are overweight. Even thin people can have it. If you are overweight, however, losing weight may reduce cellulite. Cellulite is more common among women than men. If other women in your family have cellulite, there's a good chance you will too.

Other factors that influence how much cellulite you have and how visible it is include:

  • Poor diet
  • Fad dieting
  • Slow metabolism
  • Lack of physical activity
  • Hormone changes
  • Dehydration
  • Total body fat
  • Thickness and color of your skin

    The Truth About Cellulite

Whether you can actually get rid of this most unsightly of female skin conditions is debatable. If you listen to many experts in the field of medicine they will tell you that once you as a woman get this condition getting rid of it is all but impossible and that the best you can hope for is to try to manage it by lessening its appearance, through use of creams and lotions.

It’s possible that this prevailing thought concerning cellulite steams from its subcutaneous location and for such reasons the possibility of any woman getting it to go away is said to be unlikely. The truth is that it’s not that cellulite can’t be cured; it’s that for one, most people in the medical field don’t know how to cure cellulite and two, there is much misinformation being passed around on the subject.

Through our research that we have done here at Cellulite Cures we have discovered a number of cellulite treatments proven to work.
